When This Is Over - Body Politic

"When This Is Over..." We said that a lot to each other at the beginning, pressing pause, planning for better days.

Developed using the thoughts, opinions and ideas of 120 young people during a week of intensive workshops facilitated by Emma-Jane Greig, When This Is Over is an innovative retelling of experiences known by young people the world over.

It is a dynamic hip hop dance theatre show about what it means to live in the present when the present is unlivable.

Directed by Artistic Director, Emma-Jane Greig, When This Is Over is inspired by the lived experiences of the young people and communities Body Politic works alongside. It will be performed by two professional company dancers and one local Oxford-based apprentice, giving paid employment and mentoring to a young inspiring dance artist with lived experience of adversity.
